            Good cosin, in respect of the good will I beare yo<sup>u</sup> I made offer to my cosin <symbol/><lb/>
            Henry Willoughby for the disbursm<expan>en</expan><sup>t</sup> of three or fowrre thousand pound<expan>e</expan>s in such sort as<lb/>
            he hath signifyed to yo<sup>u</sup>. and thoughe of late I haue had very good offers made me<lb/>
            of land to be sold yet in respect of my former promis I haue not gyven care<lb/>
            therto./ The Land yo<sup>u</sup> offer in morgage vppon further lookinge into the matter<lb/>
            I fynd to be threescore pound rackt rent, and threescore pound<expan>e</expan>s of old rent, and of<lb/>
            the old rent some in lease for lyves. and yo<expan>u</expan><sup>r</sup> mannor of willoughby the principall<lb/>
            thinge besydes y<expan>a</expan><sup>t</sup> some p<expan>ar</expan>t of it is in lease for lyfe the whole is in ioynture to<lb/>
            my la<expan>dy</expan> Willoughby. So y<expan>a</expan><sup>t</sup> for so great a som<expan>m</expan>e I think it not a convenient porc<expan>i</expan>on<lb/>
            I know where for less then half this money yo<sup>u</sup> assured for more land. yet<lb/>
            haue I told my cosin this bearer y<expan>a</expan><sup>t</sup> there shalbe three thousand pound pr<expan>e</expan>s<illeg type="torn" content="en"/>tly<lb/>
            disbursed vppon this land. and yf yo<sup>u</sup> be to vse any more vppon further assur<illeg type="torn" content="ance"/><lb/>
            there shalbe more redy for yo<sup>u</sup>: I hope yo<sup>u</sup> doe assure yo<expan>u</expan><sup>r</sup> self y<expan>a</expan><sup>t</sup> I look not for<lb/>
            any thinge but for the security of them y<expan>a</expan><sup>t</sup> are to disburse this money. your<lb/>
            Land I do not desyre. yf I could be assured of yo<expan>u</expan><sup>r</sup> lyff there should not<lb/>
            nede any morgage at all to be made but the yongest and healthfullest<lb/>
            are subiect to chaunge. My cosin Henry Willoughby will shoe yo<sup>u</sup> my<lb/>
            mynd at more length./ And so praying god to send yo<sup>u</sup> longe lyffe and<lb/>
