Elizabeth (Hardwick Bess) Countess of bury
to Robert dudley Earl of Leycester
Written between AD 1577 & 1582: as it refers
to Leice endeavours to find a husband
for Bess’s daughter. Elizabeth Cavendish then
of Charles Stuart Earl of Lennox. Lennox
died 1577 & Elizabeth his widow (who was mother
of Lady Arabella Stuart) died 21 January 15.
